He has founded Malaysia Greenpark Agarwood Company. He is currently the Vice President of Malaysia-China Trade Promotion Association, Director of Agarwood Professional Committee, Honorary Consultant of Agarwood Planting of Shenzhen Agarwood Industry Association of China. Mr. Tan has more than 10 years of valuable experience in the agarwood industry. He has specialized expertise in agarwood planting, incense formation and product research and development.

He was recognized as the top Pahang successful agricultural entrepreneur award by Sultan Pahang in 2011 for his speciality in nurturing the Gaharu nursery.
